Re: Recordings

The recent CD “Stepping Stones” contains pieces by Yocoh, Williams, Goss, Sculthorpe, Koehne, Houghton, Dodgson and Hand. A new CD “Concerto” will be released in May/June 2014; it includes “Arafura Dances” by Ross Edwards and first recordings of “Danzas Peregrinas” by Horacio Salinas and “Guitar Concerto” by Stephen Goss - with the English Chamber Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra both conducted by Paul Daniel.

About my retirement

I want to correct any misapprehension about my future “so called retirement”. Of course I am continuing with all existing engagements. After June 2014 I will not be traveling or playing solo concerts. I will continue with "special projects" from time to time, including occasional collaborations with friends and recording.

From A Bird numbers 1-3

Many apologies for the delay in adding new pieces. Because of many requests I have this week added three of my From a Bird pieces to the site. The projected Vivaldi and Granados will be delayed until later in the year. In the meantime I am preparing a little ensemble piece which will mainly be an exercise in rhythm for easy to intermediate level.

New piece added

A new piece, Song Without Words, has been added to the music page.

News for April 2009

Coming soon: Music for a few more original pieces, and later in 2009 my transcriptions of Vivaldi’s Concerto Opus 3 Number 9 (for solo guitar - also based on Bach’s arrangement for solo harpsichord) and Valses Poeticos by Enrique Granados.

Hello Francis and Song Without Words can be found on my latest CD From A Bird.
